Selling Your RV

Most RV’s of a certain age have their own set of scars, each one with it’s own tale. Unfortunately prospective buyers won’t share your fond memories and actually hope that they are going to view a “good as new” even if it’s 10 years old. That’s human nature for you. So go ahead and surprise them, polish up the exterior, spruce up the interior and make a great first impression. Most buyers will though, will inspect more closely especially if they are interested and that’s exactly what you want. So make sure not to leave any clutter lying around inside the RV.

When preparing to sell, it’s a good idea to have any proof of service history to hand including any receipts. A regularly serviced RV is a much better prospect for a potential buyer. If you have just one or two small dents, it may be worth getting them done along with any other small niggles your RV may have, before you sell. Small repairs often pay back with a quicker sale or even higher price. Advertising your RV with a clean bill of health will surely add to increase the interest from buyers.

Service the RV before the sale. That way potential buyers know that they should not have to part with any extra cash for a while. After you have decided on a selling price and placed your advertisement, make sure that you have all the vehicles documents in a folder ready for the potential new owner to inspect.

Following the above general selling advice should help you get off to a good start when you have decided to sell your RV.
