Explore Paris Like A Local

A party boat I hear you say! Why go to Paris, the city of love, food and culture to visit a rip off of something you could find in Ibiza, and even then it wasn’t any good. Well, this party boat is different, perhaps special; good music, great food and an even better atmosphere! A classy version of a typical club 18-30 night out, strictly for the cultured cats amongst you; unless the boat sets on fire, you won’t find anyone jumping overboard here. This boat is permanently anchored on the Seine and provides an original night of entertainment.

As the sun goes down on the Seine, night begins on the boat! The musicians all board, hauling their instruments and shuffling past the queue of eagerly awaiting clientele. You won’t find a DJ in sight until well passed 12 o’clock and all music is live; soulful jazz and reggae, light rock and soulful funk rock the decks. The lower bowels hold venue to a boudoir style restaurant while the decks provide ample gig space. The boat itself sits in the shadows of the Bibliothèque Nationale, and looks delightfully out of place against the modern infrastructure of its surroundings. This original venue is set apart from all the winding roads of Paris accommodation and offers space away from all the hotels in Paris and apartments Paris.

The food on the boat is to die for! A chalkboard menu is passed around the thirty capacity restaurant by the chefs themselves, who are happy to explain every single dish down to the last detail. There is a choice of three menus, with three choices on each; all moderately priced between 24 and 30 euros. The gentle sway of the boat helps the relaxation start and the wine go down, all making for a rather romantic atmosphere. Half way through your meal you can expect to hear the music start off with some gentle soul. After your meal, you can make your way up the wooden spiral staircase to the exterior decks where the band will be readily awaiting you. The boat often holds venue to some original guest performances and so it depends on the night to what music you will find; amongst previous performances have bin some soulful old men singing along to saxophones, a reggae Rastafarian and some more classical French affairs. Whatever or whoever you will be lucky enough to hear on your visit, they are sure not to disappoint.
